"Thanks for letting me use your thesaurus, Slight-Sub-High Writer of Fantasy and Bearing-Sub-High Writer of Open Poetry." said my young Scribe over a shoulder as the book was setback onto the shelf.
"Make sure you put it between the Higher Author's handwritten dictionary and my fuschia-bound, typed version of Swish-Cthunk." I called, without looking up from my work.
Seconds later, I heard a crash and a sharp yelp. I looked up to see that my Scribe had fallen off the step-ladder and was being hovered over by a grammar drone.
"Err: Syntax..." flashed across the floating screen.
"Slight-Sub-High Writer of Fantasy to report to Grammar Police Headquarters," a mechanical voice issued from the speakers located below the screen.
Irritating enough to have a pile of books on my floor, but now the drone wanted me to Report as well?
To blow off some steam, I snapped my fingers, and a bolt of lightning struck the drone, causing it to disappear.
My Scribe gawked at me from the pile of books, amazed at my display of Power. I sighed, looking at the mess the drone had made.
"Well," I said, looking at my Scribe. "it will have been pulled back to Headquarters to Report on my....mischief. So if you can put these back in order," I gestured at the books on the floor. "then I'll head over to see what the Grammar Nazis want from me."
I left my Scribe to work as I headed to my Interdimensional Corridor, and the Grammar Police Headquaters.
